FHS Student Wins State Beef Cook-Off

Lyna Scholfield, a sophomore culinary student represented Florence High School as the Lauderdale County Winner in the State Beef Cook-Off in Montgomery.  The State Beef Cook-Off is put on by the Cattlewomen's Association of Alabama.  Students representing counties from all over the state were present for the competition.  Lyna won the Senior High Division for North Alabama and then she took top honors as the overall State Winner!!!!!  Lyna won $200.00 for herself and $100.00 and a new microwave for the FHS Culinary department!  Isn't this awesome???? (Lyna transferred from Brooks this year so she could take culinary classes at Florence).  We are so proud of her and I know you are too!
