12 for Life
Career Tech
Work-based Student Learner Program
12 for Life is
a unique partnership between Florence City Schools and Southwire
Company. Students are provided a work-based learning opportunity
that allows them to earn wages and receive school credit for
their work-related experiences. Students work either a morning
or afternoon shift of four hours and attend Florence High School
for core subjects. Student participation is determined by
recommendations from the Southwire/Florence City School
Placement Committee.
To apply,
students must:
- Be at
least 16 years of age
- Complete
the Student Application process with their assigned
counselor
- Have a
social security card and a picture ID
- Pass a
drug screening
- Be
referred by an appropriate educator
